Final Project Description:
The final project in the course is collaborative. You are to work in groups of at least two and no more than three to compose a creative or critical response to your reading of Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Your response may also draw upon the responses we have read over the course of the semester. Students are encouraged to divide the project up into discrete parts in order to develop your complementary abilities in conjunction with your fellow students.
The final project involves researching, consulting, drafting, and revising. The outcomes, as you will see from previous projects exhibited on the course website, is for students to develop an appreciation for your individual expertise, and figure out way to combine your expertise with that of your co-authors. I will provide preliminary guidance in the way of group selection but once groups have been formed you must collectively decide upon both the form and content of your project.
You will first present your work (as a group) to the class during the last week of the semester and submit your final draft by email. Each member of the group must include a written assessment of the collaborative methods employed and how they worked (or did not) separately. You are not to share your written assessments with anyone but the instructor.
