Art historian and Professor Pamela Fletcher\u2019s virtual 19th Century London Map serves as our primary model for this portion of the project. This NYC\u00a0 map is loaded with a set of clickable pins that indicate gallery locations. Pins are color coded by gallery name.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When you click on a pin, a representative image of the gallery and a link will appear.\u00a0 Clicking on the link will redirect you to our website page containing more information about that gallery in the form of a gallery biography.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to providing the user with direct information about the history of galleries, we hope this map visually demonstrates the New York gallery system changes over time; our map shows the sequential movement of galleries within the city over time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This map invites scholars, students, and interested Bowdoin Students and\/or the public to engage in an interactive learning experience.
