The CDI is a learner-centered experience that allows each participant to spend time working on the elements of their courses that need the most attention while engaging in conversation with the facilitation team, fellow instructors, and colleagues. Ultimately, this&nbsp;experience will assist&nbsp;faculty and instructors in developing courses that promote deep learning, support academic integrity, meet the needs of diverse learners, and enhance the academic experience for all learners. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Register&nbsp;on Campus Groups at:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cglink.me\/2dK\/r1952134\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/cglink.me\/2dK\/r1952134<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/cbbpedagogymatters.com\/august-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin Pedagogy Matters<\/a><\/u><\/strong>&#8211; <strong>Move to Learn: Leveraging&nbsp;brain-body connections to increase academic performance with Dr. Nyama McCarthy-Brown<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>August 22, 2025, Bates College<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Includes: Light breakfast, lunch&nbsp;and reception snacks&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeSV4v-dMrufKGbhZh2kEbL50vXgWGvfnhv-oSmi8TcciIVMg\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register here<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intellectual and somatic ways of knowing are intertwined. How can we leverage&nbsp;this connection to impact&nbsp;more significant learning? Many students today spend much of their time in a screen-dominant world. Our society\u2019s heightened reliance on technology has caused many to become increasingly disembodied, and to mistrust one\u2019s own senses. As a result, many are less attuned to their bodies than previous&nbsp;generations, which impacts&nbsp;overall wellness. This keynote workshop-presentation&nbsp;will explain, through demonstration, how learning and student engagement can be driven through the body. Through the use of embodied responses to questions and embodied narratives, participant-attendees will consider how minor tweaks to lesson plans can be adjusted to center&nbsp;mind-body connections.
