You will be leaving this workshop with a strategic plan for your fall semester. Lunch included!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register on&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cglink.me\/2dK\/r1958945\">CampusGroups<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Writing Accountability Groups<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday, 1-2pm OR Friday 1-2pm (biweekly)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keeping participants on task with writing and scholarship with Lisa Flanagan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cglink.me\/2dK\/r1958946\">Register on Campus Groups<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Register for a Spring Teaching Triangle<\/strong><br>The&nbsp;<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bowdoin.edu\/baldwin-center\/for-faculty\/teaching-triangles-program\/index.html\">Teaching Triangles<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;program provides faculty with an opportunity to gain new insight into their teaching and students\u2019 learning through a non-evaluative, formative process of reciprocal class visits and reflection. The three people in a triangle agree to visit one class session for each participant over the course of a semester and meet to discuss what they learn from their visits about their own teaching. Triangles are created to connect faculty in different departments. All first year faculty participating in a teaching triangle are matched with faculty who have completed the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bowdoin.edu\/baldwin-center\/for-faculty\/faculty-fellows-program\/index.html\">faculty fellows program<\/a>. The goal is to create a respectful, reciprocal, reflective dialogue on teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/RbhTCt4YPF\">Complete the interest form here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Book Group- James Lang&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Distracted: Why Students Can&#8217;t Focus and What to Do About It.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meetings will occur:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tuesday, February 10 from 9-10am (Thorne-Hutchinson); Chapters 1-3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuesday, February 17 from 9-10am (Thorne-Hutchinson); Chapters 4-6<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuesday, February 24 from 9-10am (Thorne-Pinette); Chapters 7-9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect with John Paul Kanwit if interested in participating even if you can&#8217;t make the 9-10 am times listed above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Learning Community- &#8220;Grading&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in participating in a monthly learning community around grading, please send an email to Katie Byrnes expressing your interest.
