Ideal uses include attending a targeted professional conference or designing a short \u201cnetworking trek\u201d to visit companies and meet with alumni and other professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Award amount:\u00a0<\/strong>Up to $1,000 per student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Allowable expenses:\u00a0<\/strong>Travel, lodging, conference registration, and meals (using the Federal per diem rate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eligibility:\u00a0<\/strong>All Bowdoin students are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to students who receive financial aid from Bowdoin and seniors who do not have a permanent opportunity secured.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What qualifies:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conferences that include substantive employer engagement (career fairs, recruiter sessions, portfolio reviews, interviews, or hiring-focused networking)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-designed \u201ctreks\u201d that involve scheduled meetings with employers and\/or alumni at target organizations and include concrete hiring or internship conversations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Timeline:\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Apply by February 17th at 8am<\/strong>\u00a0(for a planned experience between February 24, 2026 and May 31, 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apply by March 17th at 8am<\/strong>\u00a0(for a planned experience between March 24, 2026 and May 31, 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apply by April 17th at 8am<\/strong>\u00a0(for a planned experience between April 24, 2026 and August 30, 2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Important Considerations:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Funding for deadlines in March and April is subject to continued availability of funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summer experiences are for enrolled students only,\u00a0cannot be\u00a0combined with other Bowdoin summer funding, and does not qualify you for on-campus housing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seniors must apply by the March 17th deadline to receive funding before graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students may only receive funding once for the Spring 2026 semester.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit our&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bowdoin.joinhandshake.com\/edu\/articles\/40877\">resource page<\/a>&nbsp;on Handshake for more information, conference ideas, and application instructions.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We hope this news might put a&nbsp;spring&nbsp;in your step\u2014 This spring, students can apply for funding from CXD to pursue&nbsp;in-person networking experiences that build clear connections to potential employers and can lead to internships or full-time roles.
