Twelve college and high school educators will have an extraordinary, fully funded opportunity to spend five weeks with SIT in Tanzania this summer. Thanks in part to a grant from Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad, SIT developed Tuko Pamoja: Tanzanian Creativity and Perspectives in an Era of Climate Change<\/a> as a way for educators to gain the tools they need to bring African perspectives and creative responses to climate change into their classrooms. This five-week experiential summer workshop explores ways urban and rural communities are responding to environmental changes and challenges through a decolonized approach to teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selected participants will meet with policymakers and community leaders across Tanzania and have the opportunity to learn from SIT\u2019s vast network of partners, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
