Provides leadership experience for tutors while serving the local community inside and outside the classroom.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Baltimoreans for Educational Equity (BEE) &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beequity.org\/our-work\/\"><span class=\"s3\">http:\/\/www.beequity.org\/our-work\/<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">BEE is a collection of Baltimoreans passionate about education, focusing on any action that will help local schools. This organization has helped with an array of issues spanning from budgetary concerns to rallies in the city hall.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Strong Schools Maryland &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strongschoolsmaryland.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\">https:\/\/www.strongschoolsmaryland.org\/<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Strong Schools Maryland fights \u201cto create a world-class education system for every student\u201d and has recently focused a lot of effort into the passing of the Kirwan Commission, a proposal with recommendations for educational reform in Baltimore and the rest of Maryland. The Kirwan Commission was recently vetoed by Governor Larry Hogan, sparking new action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Grassroots Organizations Across the U.S.<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s4\">Build On &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildon.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">https:\/\/www.buildon.org\/<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">An organization that focuses on supporting under-resourced schools and communities in urban areas through public service. They focus mostly on helping children living in poverty, connecting students to help other students.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Great Education Colorado &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greateducation.org\/\">https:\/\/www.greateducation.org\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A grass-roots organization that fights for equitable investment in all Colorado public schools, students, and teachers. The organization is currently focusing on Fair Tax Colorado, an initiative that would provide substantial funding for K-12 schools.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Growing Together Tulsa &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gttulsa.org\/\"><span class=\"s3\">https:\/\/www.gttulsa.org\/<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Non-profit focused on the development of impoverished communities in Tulsa.
