Those labeled practitioner publications are articles written by and directed towards teachers who teach students with autism. While those labeled Peer Reviewed publications are more research based looking at numbers, statistics, and are not necessarily teaching kids with autism, but rather are just doing research around the topic. Lastly, I have included a section called Books for kids. Although not initially apart of my project, these books are a great resource for kids who are trying to understand what does having autism mean, as well as a better experience for those who don’t have autism to understand what it feels like to have autism, but expressed in the form of literature. because I have not read all/any of the books listed, but felt they could be a necessary educational component, I provided the synopsis about the books directly from the amazon page (links provided, sources cited).

Apart from literary sources, I also provide a tab that includes links to social media platforms as well as information about specific sites that provide useful and educational information.

Although watching videos can be fun, a big part of my time as a college student revolves around reading, whether they are books, practitioner or scholarly journals, blogs, etc. The following pages each contain journals or books that talk about some aspect of autism, both in general and in relation to education.
