For Colorado, a <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.bowdoin.edu\/education-2272-fall-2020-aniles\/context\/\">unique funding formula<\/a> creates numerous educational issues that target already marginalized, urban communities. Fighting for students, parents, and teachers, the <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.bowdoin.edu\/education-2272-fall-2020-aniles\/organizations\/\">Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) and the Caucus of Today\u2019s Teachers (CTT)<\/a> utilize <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.bowdoin.edu\/education-2272-fall-2020-aniles\/conceptual-framework\/\">social justice unionism<\/a> to help advance the interests of the community. Namely, both groups <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.bowdoin.edu\/education-2272-fall-2020-aniles\/organizing-strategies\/\">conducted strikes, social media initiatives, and town halls<\/a> to target unfair teacher pay and funding inequalities.
