Coalition members pull from educational, cultural, and political organizations in New Orleans (Dixson, 2015, p. 291). The Coalition\u2019s commitment to ensure all students have access to a high quality and equitable public school experience wasn\u2019t a reactive response after Hurricane Katrina (Dixson, 2015, p. 291).
