Without the proper support and environment to grow up in, many people can be leaning towards gang life because they need a feeling of stability. Without environments that teach positive things, gang life seems enticing since it gives a sense of family as well as a potential avenue to make money. However this is a problem that affects a lot of urban communities across America, especially when these communities lack proper resources.
