También quería mencionar que Huaco Retrato no solo se trata de la vida personal del personaje central, que es una versión autobiográfica de la autora, pero también habla mucho de la historia de Peru y los asuntos de la cultura, el racismo, la familia, muchas cosas que Wiener explora en una manera fascinante. I really liked this quote in the book: “It’s terrifying but jealousy only dies with the body. I don’t know how many times I’ve felt like dying to be free of it.” I have never read a writer writing so honestly about herself and this topic. I also wanted to mention that Undiscovered is not only about the personal life of the central character, who is an autobiographical version of the author, but it also talks a lot about the history of Peru and issues of culture, racism, family, among many things that Wiener explores in a fascinating way.
