Alexandra Lytton Regalado nació en San Salvador, El Salvador, y es una destacada autora, editora y traductora salvadoreño-estadounidense. Es autora de “Relinquenda” (poemas, Beacon Press, 2022), ganador del National Poetry Series, y “Matria” (poemas, Black Lawrence Press, 2017), ganador del St. Lawrence Book Award. Su chapbook “Piedra” fue publicado por La Chifurnia en 2022. Regalado es becaria de CantoMundo y Letras Latinas, y ha sido galardonada con el Coniston Prize. Su trabajo ha aparecido en The Best American Poetry, poets.org, Agni, World Literature Today, Narrative, y en el blog Harriet de The Poetry Foundation, entre otros. Sus traducciones de poesía latinoamericana contemporánea se han publicado en Poetry International, FENCE y Tupelo Quarterly. Además, ha traducido obras como “Family or Oblivion” de Elena Salamanca.
Es cofundadora y editora de Kalina, una editorial que destaca libros bilingües con temas centroamericanos, y es editora asistente en SWWIM Every Day, una revista de poesía en línea para poetas que se identifican como mujeres. Alexandra posee cinturón negro en Kenpo Karate y actualmente reside en San Salvador con su esposo y tres hijos.
