María Auxiliadora Álvarez es una poeta y ensayista nacida en Caracas, Venezuela en 1956. Ha escrito muchos poemas en poemarios y antologías como “La mañana imaginada” y “Piedra en :U” que han recibido premios como el Premio de Poesía del Consejo Municipal de Cali (Colombia, 1974), el Premio Fundarte de Poesía (Caracas, 1990), y Internacional Award María Pia Gratton (USA, 1999).
