She is the author of <em>Relinquenda<\/em> (poems, Beacon Press, 2022), winner of the National Poetry Series, and <em>Matria<\/em> (poems, Black Lawrence Press, 2017), winner of the St. Lawrence Book Award. Her chapbook <em>Piedra<\/em> was published by La Chifurnia in 2022. Regalado is a CantoMundo and Letras Latinas fellow and has been awarded the Coniston Prize. Her work has appeared in <em>The Best American Poetry<\/em>, poets.org, <em>Agni<\/em>, <em>World Literature Today<\/em>, <em>Narrative<\/em>, and on the Harriet blog of <em>The Poetry Foundation<\/em>, among others. Her translations of contemporary Latin American poetry have been published in <em>Poetry International<\/em>, <em>FENCE<\/em>, and <em>Tupelo Quarterly<\/em>. Additionally, she has translated works such as <em>Family or Oblivion<\/em> by Elena Salamanca.<\/p>\n<p>She is the co-founder and editor of Kalina, a publishing house that highlights bilingual books with Central American themes, and she is an assistant editor at SWWIM Every Day, an online poetry journal for poets who identify as women. Alexandra holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate and currently resides in San Salvador with her husband and three children.
