Sus principales intereses de investigaci\u00f3n son la literatura y la cultura caribe\u00f1as, con un \u00e9nfasis en cuestiones de g\u00e9nero y sexualidad. Es autora de los libros <em>Cr\u00f3nica de Un Amor Terrible. La secreta historia de la novia devuelta en la muerte anunciada de Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez<\/em> (Bogot\u00e1, Lumen\/Penguin, 2023), ampliamente cubierto por medios como El Espectador, Repeating Islands, Noticias Caracol, El Heraldo y El Tiempo. Su libro anterior, <em>La rebeli\u00f3n de las ni\u00f1as: El Caribe y la \u201cconciencia corporal\u201d<\/em> (Madrid\/Frankfurt, Iberoamericana Vervuert, 2015), tambi\u00e9n fue ganador de un Premio Nicol\u00e1s Guill\u00e9n por la Caribbean Philosophical Association, una Menci\u00f3n Honor\u00edfica del Premio Iberoamericano por LASA, y el Premio Montserrat Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez por la secci\u00f3n de Colombia de LASA. Celis tambi\u00e9n es coeditora de <em>Mayra Santos-Febres y el Caribe contempor\u00e1neo<\/em> (San Juan: Isla Negra, 2011).<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, Celis est\u00e1 trabajando en una serie de p\u00f3dcast narrativos sobre el amor y la violencia en la educaci\u00f3n literaria y sentimental de las mujeres en Am\u00e9rica Latina y las comunidades Latinx, as\u00ed como en otro proyecto de libro sobre el Premio Nobel colombiano Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez, para el cual recibi\u00f3 una beca del Harry Ransom Center (UT Austin). Her primary research interests are in Caribbean literature and culture, with an emphasis on issues of gender and sexuality. She is the author of the books\u00a0<em>Cr\u00f3nica de una amor terrible. <\/em><em>La secreta historia de la novia devuelta en la muerte anunciada de Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez<\/em> (Bogot\u00e1, Lumen\/Penguin, 2023), widely covered by media such as El Espectador, Repeating Islands, Noticias Caracol, El Heraldo and El Tiempo.\u00a0Her previous book, <em>La rebeli\u00f3n de las ni\u00f1as: El
