In this podcast I will analyze how Hurricane Katrina forced the government to define enemies in terms of race and class in order to implement a neoliberal carceral security state. I will do so by examining the racial makeup of New Orleans post\/prior Hurricane, critique the media outlets language and response to the hurricane, and highlight how defining enemies in terms of class disadvantaged low-income Black homeowners to being the most in need after the hurricane.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Comments:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a good abstract, Gaby.
