It is interesting to read about various photographers entering new realms of art transitioning from shooting for movie posters to shooting the desolate nature of Joshua Tree or from shooting for magazines to traveling to hospitals in Italy to shoot for those magazines.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Photo Books:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aperture.org\/shop\/justine-kurland-girl-pictures\">https:\/\/aperture.org\/shop\/justine-kurland-girl-pictures<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This book beautifully portrays girls as fearless and free, tender and fierce. I resonated with this as it reminded me of small moments at school&#8211;laying on the quad with my roommates, swimming at the coastal studies center, running to Hannaford&#8217;s for whatever random idea popped into our heads, etc.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aperture.org\/shop\/ethan-james-green-young-new-york\">https:\/\/aperture.org\/shop\/ethan-james-green-young-new-york<\/a><\/p>\n<p>These photos by Ethan James Green drew my attention because his portraits are very simple but extremely intense and give you a sense of closeness with his subjects.
