Statement by Tala Glass

This work uses string to create drawings in space of recognizable forms in different landscapes.  Using the motif of shelter, I explore notions of home and safety. In a time like this, where each day becomes more and more uncertain, I find physical and emotional comfort in both the physical place that I shelter and the landscapes that I am surrounded by. This work speaks to the impermanence of domestic life, habitation, and also ourselves.
