Prior to that, she served as Associate Curator of Global Indigenous Art at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/spencerart.ku.edu\/\"><span class=\"s3\">Spencer Museum of Art<\/span><\/a> <span class=\"s2\">where she oversaw a collection of nearly 10,000 works of art from the Americas, Africa, and Oceania<\/span><span class=\"s2\">. In that role, she curated more than a dozen exhibitions, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">managed<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> several artist residencies, and served as an affiliate faculty member in the Museum Studies Program. <\/span><span class=\"s2\">She also has experience at the <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Haffenreffer<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> Museum of Anthropology <\/span><span class=\"s2\">and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Casey<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> has <\/span><span class=\"s4\">particular interests<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> in contemporary Indigenous art<\/span><span class=\"s4\">, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">the intersections of art, science, and medicine, and <\/span><span class=\"s4\">exploring <\/span><span class=\"s4\">the role of social justice work in museum settings.<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> At Bowdoin, she enjoys developing new projects that draw from the BCMA\u2019s rich collections and working with faculty and students to integrate the BCMA into the curricular and co-curricular experiences.
