This session will explore and discuss (i) how and why humans and ecosystems are exposed to chemicals; (ii) the current regulatory framework in the context of balancing public safety and economic behavior in the market; (iii) issues surrounding environmental justice and the disproportionate chemical burden on lower-income communities and communities of color.
