Managing Artificial Intelligence Resources in Teaching and Learning

Resources available on Canvas

Example: The WAC Clearinghouse, an open-access publishing collaborative focused on writing and speaking in courses across the curriculum, recently released a collection called TextGenEd: An Introduction to Teaching With Text Generation TechnologiesLinks to an external site.. It was designed to support writing instructors and other faculty members who teach writing-intensive courses as they navigate the new landscape of generative-text technologies.

The collection, which includes a brief primer on the history and current state of these technologies, includes examples of how to integrate ChatGPT and other AI into their assignments. All of the 34 assignments in the collection have been taught at least once and include information on how students responded and a reflection from the instructor. They are organized according to learning goals, such as AI literacy, creative exploration, and professional writing. All the work is fully open access, which allows faculty members to adapt the assignments freely for their own use.
