The Advancement Project is a civil rights organization founded by veteran civil rights lawyers. They work on the ground to help organized communities of color in their efforts to dismantle and reform unjust policies. They have partnered with many grassroots organizations working to dismantle the STPP. Suspension Stories is a youth-led action research project aimed at understanding, and sparking conversations about the STTP. It combines research, and narratives of people’s lived experiences. Dignity in Schools unites parents, youth, educators and advocates in a campaign to end school pushout, and find positive alternatives to zero tolerance, punishment, and exclusion in schools.33
