Students Deserve

Students Deserve describes itself as a “grassroots coalition of students, parents and teachers fighting for justice in education and beyond” (Students Deserve Website). They work in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and operate on three strands:

• Educate yourself
• Organizing to End Policing and Privatization
• Push to fund Community schools.

Students Deserve have most recently organized to end random searches in the LAUSD and defund the school police.
