By synthesizing articles about access to higher education for undocumented students, I will present the state of thought and policy on this issue. Peer-reviewed articles provide insight into the academic and policy-oriented views while professional articles are representative of the messages from and for affected individuals in education.
The peer reviewed articles I have synthesized are titled, “Access or barrier? Tuition and fee legislation for undocumented students across the States” from 2014 and “Lowering the cost barrier to higher education for undocumented students: A promising university-level intervention” from 2016.
The professional articles I have synthesized are titled, “The Impact of Tuition Increases on Undocumented College Students’ Attainment” from 2015 and “With Rollback of DACA, ‘Dreamers’ in U.S. Schools Prepare for a Fight” from March 2018.
