A “Community Network, Powered by the People,” Lawrence Community Works (LCW) is dedicated to community organizing, planning and assets building to create lively neighborhoods and empowered residents.
A member of the Greater Lawrence Education Justice Alliance, Our Future Our Schools’ (OFOS) goal is to help reclaim Lawrence Public Schools from receivership and ensure that change corresponds with the needs and desires of the community.
Youth Development Organization (YDO) is a grassroots organization dedicated to increasing the opportunities for students to engage in educational activities as a means of growing a community of self-motivated learners and leaders.
An organization birthed from the grassroots organization Lawrence Youth Commission (LYC), Lawrence Family Development’s (LFD) primary purpose is to strengthen family-school relationships and to build communities. There are three main aspects to LFD’s work. These include, alternative youth development programs, adult education classes (for citizenship and ELL classes), and LFD’s charter school for students K-8th grade.
