Join Professor Judith Casselberry and her guest, Barbara Krauthamer, Professor of History, visiting from UMass Amherst. The class will start with a presentation by Prof. Kratuthamer on “Runaway Slave Women in the Revolutionary Era”. The second half will focus on a discussion of 18th and 19th c. violent revolts against slavery (Nat Turner, Denmark Vesey, Gabriel Prosser).
