This week I started preparing the in-class presentation. I have a PowerPoint with images from many news outlets who took pictures during the protests in Portland regarding the cuts at USM. I feel like these add more emotion to my presentation. I wish Susan could skype into the presentation because she is a character and would provide great insight—although I have that through our interview as well. In addition, I interviewed a USM student from the time of the financial crisis. She provided interesting insight on how she navigated campus during this time. In addition, I heard back from a current Professor who noted they could not speak with me because of their relationship with the college. They are currently under contract and felt it was inappropriate. Lastly, I realized I know one of the Board members at UMaine and I have tried to connect with him. I hope so do before Monday. I also read through my journal articles and feel like I have an adequate amount of literature to support my topic. Therefore, I did not do more searching this week. I am looking forward to the in-class presentation.
