The data I will collect will mostly come from academic journal articles and books that will help me explain the general trend of shifting marketing strategies as a result of the development of the internet. I will find these sources through library research. For the case study analyses of a variety of marketing software companies, this will involve researching their product and its capabilities through their website. These case studies will provide concrete examples of how neoliberal ideals have transformed the way that companies market and sell their product to consumers through predatory targeting and increased surveillance.
