Episode 1: Theresa Choi

Theresa has been with the curatorial department of the Ogunquit Museum of American Art since 2020. In April 2023, she also started working with the registrar at Bowdoin College Museum of Art. Previously, she was Project Manager in the Boston office of Crozier Fine Arts, and Director of Exhibitions in Manchester with then New Hampshire Institute of Art, now the Institute of Art and Design at New England College. In New York, she held curatorial positions with Storm King Art Center and SculptureCenter. She managed the studio of Virginia Overton during that artist’s 2016 solo presentations at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. She has also held institutional advancement positions with American University in Washington DC, and with Columbia University and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. She earned a master’s degree from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in 2012 and completed undergraduate studies in art history at the University of Virginia in 1997.
