Create Your Own AI Assistant

Join us for this virtual, hands-on workshop enabling you to create your own AI assistant.  Learn how to design your own personalized AI assistant to support your work, teaching, learning, or research. This interactive session will explore a simple framework for creating AI assistants tailored to specific tasks such as brainstorming, organizing information, drafting content, or supporting projects.

Session 1: Thursday, March 26th from 10-11 a.m. – Registration in Campus Groups is required. 

Session 2: Thursday, May 7th from 10-11 a.m. – Registration in Campus Groups is required.

New Classroom Technology Orientation Opportunities in Jewett 102

As we prepare for the removal of instructor workstations from the remaining classrooms, the Digital Excellence Commitment  (DExC) subcommittee of the Committee on Teaching and Classroom Practice (CoTCP) will be offering additional times for faculty to experience the new classroom set up with their laptops and other mobile devices in Jewett 102.  If interested, please mark your calendars with the following scheduled opportunities:

Personalized LibreChat Support

Personalized LibreChat support is available during open labs and office hours to both answer any questions you may have and to provide hands-on support. The ​​schedule for open labs and office hours​​​​​​is linked on the Generative AI website under the LibreChat section.  Additionally, ​​LibreChat Ambassadors​​ are available to support those trying to learn more about responsible Generative AI use and LibreChat. Finally, we have curated short videos on the basics of getting started with AI within the Digital Agility Canvas Courseavailable to both faculty and students.  

Protecting Data, Personal Information, and Intellectual Property While Using AI  

AI is rapidly transforming how we work. This session describes and explores the broad spectrum of generative AI – from basic chatbots to advanced tools – showcasing both practical applications and strategies for protecting institutional and personal data when using AI platforms.

Session 1: Tuesday, April 28th from 2-3 p.m. – Registration in Campus Groups is required.
