What is LibreChat?
LibreChat gives you access to multiple AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, and more) in one secure, campus-supported tool. You can safely test different approaches, compare AI responses, and explore AI applications relevant to your work while maintaining data security and privacy within our institutional environment.
What campus-wide support and training is available?
Information Technology now offers campus-wide support to guide everyone in using LibreChat effectively and responsibly. The following resources are available:
- Ethics Course on Responsible AI Use (located in Canvas) (REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS PRIOR TO RECEIVING ACCESS TO LIBRECHAT)
- Introduction to LibreChat workshops – virtual and in-person (Sign up now in Campus Groups)
- Hands-on open labs (See schedule/locations below)
- Office hours (See schedule/locations below)
- Tech Hub help
How do I get started?
- Login to LibreChat at librechat.bowdoin.edu with your College credentials
- View training dates in Campus Groups and register online
Look for additional information about these resources on Campus Groups, in future digest posts and upcoming e-mails.
As always, the Service Desk is the College’s main source of support for all technology issues on campus, including LibreChat (E-mail: [email protected], phone: 207-725-3030)
Interested in Serving as a LibreChat Ambassador?
All faculty, students and staff are both eligible and welcome to serve as LibreChat Ambassadors. Ambassadors will assist in providing support to their peers in learning how to use LibreChat. There are two requirements:
1. Complete the Responsible AI Ethics Course in Canvas
2. Attend and complete the Introduction to the LibreChat Platform training session (sign up available on Campus Groups).
