The Digital Story as a Tool for Exploration, Documentation and Assessment

This workshop is split across two morning sessions, participants will make a “Five Shot Digital Story” that critiques an issue, illustrates an opinion or argument or documents a moment in time.

Mapping and Sipping French Wines: How to go from an Excel file to a web map

Starting with an excel spreadsheet, participants will learn to make and publish digital maps of the great French wine regions, such as the Loire Valley, Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne, and Bordeaux. We will collect and prepare wine data, map it using ArcGIS Pro, and then create a narrative journey through France in Story Maps.
