  • This is the facebook page of the Newark Parents Union. The site is managed by parents of students in the Newark public schools and they encourage all parents of NPS students to join

  • This is the twitter for students from Barringer High School in Newark protesting the One Newark plan. Barringer HS would be one of a few schools likely to be closed under the One Newark plan as it is seen as a “failing” school.

  • This is the twitter for students from Bragaw Avenue High School in Newark protesting the One Newark plan. Bragaw would be another school closed under the One Newark plan, and may possibly be replaced by a charter school, meaning that the students that previously attended it may have to go elsewhere.

  • This is the facebook page originated from parent opposition to Governor Christie’s education budget cuts. It has since expanded to oppose Christie’s embrace of corporate education reform.

  • Twitter account of Alex, an educator of more than 20 years. Very open about his opposition of Cami Anderson, Governor Christie, and the One Newark plan.

  • The official homepage for the One Newark Plan by Cami Anderson. It states that out of 100 newark schools, only 20 are good. Its mission is to have 100 good schools out of 100. The page mentions the involvement of charter schools as part of its mission.

  • The official twitter account of Mayor Ras Baraka and the city of Newark. Baraka has openly criticized superintendent Anderson and the “One Newark” plan. Baraka opposes state control of Newark schools and has called for the return of local control. (Tried to find a personal twitter account of Mayor Baraka, seperate from the city’s account but found none)
