Super Tuesday Statistics… The Republican Party in 7 states, making up 11% of the party’s delegates, has canceled primaries. This is because many states put their faith in Trump’s campaign in order to save both time and money.

Nomination Rules and Threshold
According to the Rules of the Republican Party, which the party adopted on August 24th, 2020, and amended by the National Committee on August 13th, 2021, to be a candidate for nomination, you need the “plurality of the delegates from each of five or more states.” The threshold was changed in 2020, before this, a nominee required the majority of delegates from eight states.
