I have always been interested in the human body–how it is beautiful, how it is grotesque, how it evokes responses and feels things. During the COVID-19 pandemic, each person must protect their own body. We are hyper aware of the health of our bodies and how our bodies interact with the ones around us. Are you sick? Did I just dry cough? We fear illness and are caught in a war between our beautiful bodies, our gross bodies, and the fear of being somewhere in between.
“Before you worry about the beauty of your body, worry about the health of your body.” Amit Kalantri
