Amanda Skinner is a museum professional and currently serves as the Assistant to the Co-Directors/Membership & Events Coordinator at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. She holds a double Master’s Degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, with minors in Business Administration, Anthropology, and Studio Art.
Amanda has also taught art history as adjunct faculty at the University of New England and Maine College of Art & Design. Amanda is interested in the evolution of art history as a discipline and approaches the subject through an interdisciplinary perspective with an emphasis on issues pertaining to accessibility and inclusivity.
Amanda enjoys painting and drawing, being outside in nature, working in her garden, and spending time with her cat and rabbit.
