Episode 8: Sabrina Lin

Sabrina joined the Bowdoin College Museum of Art staff in July 2021, upon graduating from Bowdoin with a double major in Art History and Italian Studies and a minor in Visual Arts. Previously, Sabrina worked at the BCMA as a Student Curatorial and Education Assistant during the summer of 2019, in addition to internships at institutions in New England and in China. As the BCMA’s inaugural post-baccalaureate fellow, Sabrina is tasked with overseeing the Museum’s student engagement initiatives as well as supporting the curatorial team on research, teaching, and exhibition development. While she was at school, Sabrina was an active participant in the arts and cultural life on campus, serving as the Managing Editor of The Bowdoin Orient and the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Bowdoin Journal of Art. She is passionate about connecting young students and creative minds with the arts, and her research and professional interests aim at diversifying the museum field and uplifting emerging professionals from all backgrounds. Most recently, she curated the exhibition “Turn of Phrase: Language and Translation in Global Contemporary Art,” which was on view at the BCMA from December 15, 2022 to June 4, 2023.
