Maine Department of Marine Resources Wants Higher Targets For Fish Passage Design

Updated estimates from the Maine Department of Marine Resources describe a potential fish run of almost 9 million fish up to Lewiston. But the ladder can only meet the passage needs of 1% or less of those fish. In its recent comments to FERC regarding the proposed upstream fish passage studies to be performed, MDMR is requested that these new estimates serve as the design targets for fish passage going forward.
