This week Nicole and I debriefed our final interviews and created our powerpoint for our presentation next week. We both completed our last two interviews, and I am finishing up the last of my annotated bibliography entries. Finishing the presentation was really nice because it helped me realize how much work we’d already gotten accomplished on this final project. I am looking forward to sharing our findings with the class. While I think a lot of our research and interview content was not necessarily surprising so far, it does cement things I already assumed about these platforms and based it in peer review research supplemented by our own interviews. It was cool to also connect this larger topic to more traditional sociological theory such as Goffman, and it showed the longevity of Goffman’s work
