- Between weeks 8 and 14, each student should provide a weekly reflection (500 words) on the data you have collected to date.
- What data did you collect?
- What is your initial impression of the data?
- How have the data you have collected this week changed/progressed your thinking about your research project?
- What challenges did you encounter while collecting the data?
- What are your next steps?
This week, Dalton and I worked on our podcast script. Initially, I was overwhelmed by all the qualitative data we had, but then I started grouping findings/quotes from the interview by theme. One theme, I’m particular excited to talk about is the gamification of Tinder. A few respondents had interesting things to say, comparing Tinder to a slot machine and discussing playing a game where they display Tinder on the TV and as a group swipe on profiles. This is also something I read about in the lit review so we can connect our findings to existing research. Our intention is for our podcast to highlight findings from the interviews we conducted for this project while also connecting them to the existing literature and theory in a seamless, accessible way.
The final step is to record our podcast. I know there is a studio in HL, studio D, that id designed for podcast production so we will probably book that and record our podcast there.
