He was 44 and suffered since boyhood from a progressive muscular paralysis that in the last years prevented almost every kind of movement. He could only breathe thanks to a machine and could not swallow saliva anymore. His novel “Cuori strappati” (Torn Hearts) was a good melange of science and apocalypse, with a weird medical angle. He has published other novels as well, many poems and short stories, some of them in collaboration with other Italian authors. He was active and well loved on Facebook and was assisted by a marvelous family which I have personally met. To his mother, grandmother and foster father go all our condolences.
