Format and Outline

    • Describe the form you hope your project will assume (i.e. paper, film, podcast) and a justification for why your selection provides the best approach to present your findings.

        •Reason: A paper could also work but I wanted to include non-traditional mediums like videos and photos that are not found in traditional papers.
        •What I plan to do:
        • Trace the evolution of the word public safety from its colonial origin to now.
        •Provide case studies of crime in New York along with videos and audio.
        • Provide visuals of the rise and fall of NYC crime rates, alongside the persistent vilification of the city in the media.
        • Changes
    • Provide a description of any changes in the product of your project, with a brief explanation for your decision.
    • At the beginning of this project, I was going to do a documentary because I had a partner and we could easily divide the filming and editing between ourselves. When my partner decided to go in another direction, I knew that there was no way I could do a whole documentary by myself. So, I decided on a website, which I have done before.
    • At first, I was going to design a WordPress page and I even had a separate one made for my project. However, I decided to use Google Sites because I have more experience with it and the functions are a bit  simpler.
