Social Media-anti charter

This Wbur segment illuminates the various donations made by the two campaigns on Charter schools. Overall, this question sparked the most expensive campaign for a state ballot in Massachusetts history. The pro charter side received millions of dollars in donations from a handful of massive organizations, some of which have no legal obligation to reveal their contributors. The anti charter side, however was funded by thousands of teacher union donations. This is a prime example of outside money entering local politics; the true grassroots effort won this battle. http://www.wbur.org/edify/2016/11/07/question-2-donations-for-and-against-top-41-million

Mayor Marty Walsh appears on a Wbur Morning edition segment to talk against MA’s question 2. Although Walsh generally supports charter schools, he argues that this uncontrolled expansion on charter schools would take away resources from the communities they exist. http://www.wbur.org/edify/2016/11/04/walsh-charter-school-question
