Virtual Choirs

Musicians still find ways to connect despite social distancing. Choirs from all over the world are assembling videos of people singing their individual parts and compiling it into one video. These virtual performances create a community of people and unite choir members as they sing the song. Even though they cannot physically be together, they can connect as they sing the same song. Listeners can hear the beautiful harmonies and feel a sense of unity as people come together to create music.

Dear Evan Hansen

The cast members of Dear Evan Hansen each recorded his or her own video singing the song “You Will Be Found.” The song talks about human connection, telling the listener that “you are not alone.” In this time of quarantine, it is very moving to hear these voices singing together, even if it is virtual.

College A Capella

I have a friend who is a part of an A Capella group at her college. The students each recorded a video of himself or herself and assembled a virtual performance of the song “Some Nights” by F.U.N. Despite the fact that they could not do their live concert, they came together and recorded a song to share with people.
