- What was the process of translating the script from Spanish to English like? When doing the translation, was there an ultimate end goal such as a script as faithful as possible to the text, or a script that had the same sentiments but in different words? Do you think your translation has changed how you’ve directed the play as well?
- Could you describe your team working behind the scenes to make the show run? How did you collaborate with light crew, sound, set, costumes, etc. to create the production? Did you have a common initial idea of how you wanted the play to look, or did you negotiate certain things?
- From the video of the your production of “Love the Doctor” it seems that the costumes are the most elaborate part of the look, and the set has a more simple, minimalistic aesthetic– what is the thought behind making one stand out more than the other (if that was the intention)?
- What did you look for when casting actors and actresses for this show?
- During the script readings and blocking the scenes, what was the creative process like? It seemed, from the clip like some parts could have been improvised and some scenes more strategically blocked, did you have a preference for how the actors helped to create the scenes?
